Japan’s Love Me won the award for Best Drama at the 2017 Cannes Film and Television Festival.
The film stars Sophie Kan (The Fall) and Kim Seung Woo (Manganiello) as a couple who are looking for love in a rural area of Cambodia.
The film is set in the same era as the film starring Kim Seong Woo (The Winter) and Tomoko Takahashi (The Autumn).
It is directed by Ryoichi Nakagawa and stars Keiko Shimizu (The Year of Our Lord) as the protagonist.
The award was presented by Jotaro Morita (The Golden Age, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask) as well as J.J. Abrams and Josh Trank (The Last Airbender).
