The summer is here and the movies are coming to Netflix, so you may want to stop reading now if you’ve not already.
That’s the message from Netflix this morning in a new blog post announcing a slate of upcoming movies and TV shows that will be available for streaming online starting in January 2019.
The online catalog features a mix of original, family-friendly fare, including a number of indie titles and feature films, with titles from some of Netflix’s most acclaimed shows, like House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, and Orange is The New Black: Season 2.
The company also says the catalog is expanding to include original scripted programming that isn’t part of the usual lineup, including drama series, animated series, and feature documentaries.
Netflix has already announced some of its upcoming offerings for 2018, including two series starring Kevin Spacey and an original series about a New Yorker who, like the character of a lot of us, falls in love with his dog and decides to adopt him.
The next series is a comedy called The Black Cat and the White Cat, starring Seth MacFarlane and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, which is set to debut in 2019.
